DESIGN WORKSHOP BY ASIAN PAINTS ON WORLD INTERIORS DAY
Hello Friends and readers,
I am here to share with you all;about a great and very inspirational workshop conducted by Asian Paints at their ColourStoreCP,on 27th May,2016. I was super excited to attend this event as it was hosted by Production Designer, Shruti Gupte , a renowned, film production designer.
On the occasion of ‘World Interiors Day’, Asian Paints’ signature store, Colour Store celebrated with a unique movies-inspired workshop on interiors for consumers. The Colour Store in CP was set up by Asian Paints with the aim of educating consumers and interior décor enthusiasts on colours and designs and how it can change their space.
We all bloggers were gathered at The store and the store invited renowned Film Production Designer, Shruti Gupte to host an exclusive workshop on how to draw inspiration from homes and office spaces designed in popular films.
The Colour Store initiative offered consumers the unique opportunity to bring to their homes, the look and feel that they love, admire and aspire for, from their favorite films. The brand is determined to encourage consumers to take that leap and be experimental and creative with their décor choices in a fitting manner.
It was really interesting and too good to be a part of this great event as we had a great host; who designed homes and interior spaces in films such as ‘Aisha’, ‘Taare Zamin Par’, ‘Khoobsurat’, ‘Lunch Box’ and others, Shruti possesses a deep understanding of the style and sensibilities of the modern-day consumers. Giving examples of her films, she covered various aspects from designing homes of characters in movies, to tips on how consumers can use designs seen in movies as an inspiration while decorating their homes.
We all felt much inspired when Production Designer Shruti Gupte shared, “We as consumers need to make ourselves the heroes and heroines of our own movie scripts. Colors and textures are not to be feared but embraced as part of our personality. Our personal and professional environments are an extension of our personality and should inspire our days, help create memories or convey our aspirations. If the movies take inspiration from our reality, then why shouldn't we allow those reel-ties to become our reality? It's a simple decision to step out of our comfort zone and experiment. This was explained in a very sweet manner, great to learn this from her,and we can surely say; these days, brand like Asian Paints Color Store allows us to realize our dreams before we choose to make it permanent.
Further,Amit Syngle, President-Sales, Marketing & Technology, Asian Paints Ltd. added; “From sharing insights on how to choose the right colour to offering firsthand experience through interesting DIY activities, we have always strived to engage consumers on painting and décor through events and activities at the Colour Store. Since films are known to inspire us in many ways, the Colour Store has collaborated with ace Production Designer, Shruti Gupte, for World Interiors Day to bring inspirational home décor ideas from the silver screen to consumers.”
This is really motivating step by Asian paints colour store to bring out the best from all; who are always looking for new ideas to do up their personal spaces with all that’s in vogue and colorful.
This workshop at Asian Paints’ Colour Store, CP proved to be inspirational and experiential in equal measure.
With this kind of workshop,We all can bring out the creative side in us and can make and design our homes as beautiful as shown and designed in movies because all it takes is our efforts on understanding the colours,Themes, and the coordination between nature of human being, together all this make us ready to design our home in most innovative ways.
As a part of this workshop,We all bloggers had a DIY activity, which I like the most. There were different patterns of wall papers, themes, fabrics, paint colors and we had to select and decorate according to the theme.I made that with a keen interest and I felt I learned much about colours in this workshop,so accordingly I participated in DIY activity and found it really interesting and experimenting too.
I loved to be a part of this unique workshop by Asian Paints Colours store CP. We had a great interactive session with shruti Gupte, and she explained and shared all her views in a very sweet manner.I am also sharing some of my pictures of this event in this blog post and hope Asian Paints would keep this good work up.
